An arbor is usually a smaller structure than a pergola or gazebo, but placement and anchoring still determine whether the kit can be installed as intended. Entry arbors, garden arches and wider freestanding designs may use different posts, bases and top assemblies, so the exact product and site need to be reviewed together.
Placement and opening clearance
Send the arbor model, dimensions and photos of the proposed location. If it will frame a gate, walkway or garden path, include the width and surrounding features so the structure is not assembled into a space where doors, plants or paving interfere.
Base and anchoring method
Some arbors use ground stakes, post bases or other manufacturer-defined attachment systems. Tell us whether the location is soil, paving, concrete or another surface. The installation should follow the product's specified method rather than a generic anchor chosen from another structure.
Excavation, new footings or masonry work are separate unless they have been explicitly included.
Frame and top assembly
The service can include joining side frames, crosspieces, decorative panels and roof or lattice elements supplied with the kit, then positioning and anchoring the structure at the agreed site.
Wind exposure, permit requirements or HOA rules remain property-specific. This page does not make a blanket structural approval claim.
Arbors belong to gazebo, pergola and shade structure services. A larger open-roof frame may fit pergola installation, while a roofed gathering structure belongs under gazebo installation.

Arbor Installation FAQ
Can an arbor be installed over an existing walkway?
Potentially, if the product dimensions, walkway width and anchoring method are compatible. Send measurements and photos.
Does an arbor always need concrete footings?
No. The correct support depends on the kit and site. Concrete or other foundation work is not assumed.
Can a gate be part of the project?
If the arbor kit includes a gate or related components, identify them in the requested configuration.
Do you handle HOA or permit approval?
No generic approval service is implied. Any property-specific requirements need separate owner review.
What determines the quote?
Kit size, component count, surface type, anchoring method, access and any separate foundation work can affect the scope.
