Prefabricated home-entry steps need to fit the doorway height, landing area and supporting surface at the property. A step system that is correct for one entrance may be unsuitable for another, so we review the product and site together before planning installation.
Step system and entry measurements
Send the manufacturer/model or product information and photos of the entrance. Useful dimensions include the height from the supporting surface to the threshold and the available footprint in front of the door.
Doors, railings, trim and nearby walkways can affect positioning. The final layout should be understood before components are assembled.
Supporting surface and anchoring
Tell us whether the steps will sit on concrete, paving, a prepared pad or another surface. Levelness and manufacturer anchoring instructions matter for the installation.
Building a new foundation, correcting major grade problems or performing structural work is a separate scope unless explicitly included. We do not claim a prefabricated product is appropriate simply because it fits dimensionally.
Assembly and placement
The job can include assembling the supplied step modules, rails or manufacturer-provided components, positioning the system at the agreed entrance and completing the product-specific anchoring or fastening that has been reviewed for the site.
Any permit or code requirement is project-specific. This page does not provide a blanket compliance guarantee.
Entry steps sit within mobility and home safety services. When a project requires a ramp instead, use wheelchair ramp installation so the layout and product are evaluated separately.

Home Entry Steps Installation FAQ
What measurements should I provide?
Threshold height and the available footprint are useful, along with photos showing the full entry and surrounding surface.
Can steps be placed directly on uneven ground?
The supporting surface needs to meet the product and installation requirements. Significant grading or base preparation is separate from routine assembly.
Are handrails included?
They can be when they are part of the supplied step system and identified in the requested configuration.
Do you guarantee permit or code approval?
No generic page can provide that assurance. Project-specific requirements need separate review.
How is this different from a wheelchair ramp?
The product geometry and site layout are different. A ramp should be scoped through its dedicated service page.
