Curtain Rod and Window Treatment Installation

Tell us the curtain rod or window treatment, mounting surface and height. We review hardware, wall material, access and existing damage before preparing a quote.

Quote-ready details

  • Exact product or model when known
  • Final assembly / installation location
  • Access, mounting, base or utility conditions
  • Removal, damaged or missing parts when relevant

Curtain rods and window treatments look like small installations, but the wall material, mounting height and product hardware determine whether the job is truly simple. A tension rod, standard bracketed rod, heavy decorative system, blind or shade can require a different attachment method, so the quote starts with the exact item and mounting surface.

Product, width and mounting position

Send the rod or window-treatment model, window width and the intended mounting location. Tell us whether the product mounts inside the opening, above the trim, on the wall or another surface.

If several windows are involved, list the quantity and whether the products are identical.

Wall material and supplied hardware

Drywall, wood trim, masonry and other surfaces do not use the same fastening method. Include photos of the mounting area and show any existing holes or damage from a previous installation.

Manufacturer-provided brackets and hardware are reviewed for the actual surface. Patching significant wall damage or performing larger finish repair is separate from installing the new treatment.

Height and access

High windows, stairwells or hard-to-reach mounting points can change the access required. Mention ceiling height or unusual ladder conditions before scheduling.

Curtain and window-treatment work is part of home repairs and small handyman jobs. If removal reveals a larger wall repair or another trade issue, that condition is assessed separately rather than hidden inside the installation.

Request a curtain or window-treatment installation quote with product details, window count, wall photos and mounting height.

Curtain Rod and Window Treatment Installation FAQ

Can multiple curtain rods be included in one request?

Yes. List the number of windows and whether the rods or treatments are the same model.

Do you reuse existing holes?

Only when the existing location and hardware are appropriate for the new product. Old holes are not assumed usable.

Is wall patching included after removing old hardware?

Minor conditions can be discussed, but larger wall repair is separate from the installation unless specifically quoted.

Can blinds or shades be installed too?

They can be considered when the exact product and inside/outside mounting method are identified.

What photos are most helpful?
