Permanent outdoor lighting is planned as a fixed exterior system rather than a seasonal decoration. The mounting surface, controller position, cable route and existing power all have to work together. We therefore scope the exact lighting product and the building exterior before installation.
Roofline, fascia and soffit conditions
Send photos of the intended mounting path and identify whether the lights attach to fascia, soffit or another exterior surface. Height, roof geometry and obstructions can affect access and the amount of routing required.
The page does not assume that every exterior surface can accept the same fastener or track. Product instructions and actual materials guide the mounting plan.
Controller and cable routing
Identify where the controller or power supply will be located and how the supplied cables are expected to travel between sections. Weather-exposed wiring should be routed in a way consistent with the product system and agreed installation.
If the project requires hidden wiring through finished building areas, new circuits or other electrical construction, that work is separated from ordinary product mounting.
Existing power versus new electrical work
Provide information about the existing outlet or power source specified for the system. The installation can use compatible existing conditions as part of the agreed scope; creating or modifying electrical service is not automatically included.
Permanent systems are distinct from holiday light installation, where removal after the season may be part of the plan. Both are organized under outdoor lighting services.
Request a permanent lighting quote with the product model, exterior photos, approximate run, controller location and existing power information.
Permanent Outdoor Lighting Installation FAQ
What makes permanent lighting different from holiday lights?
The system is intended to remain installed and typically uses a fixed track, controller or long-term exterior routing, so the mounting and power plan is different.
Can you run a new electrical circuit?
That is not assumed as part of standard product installation and requires separate review.
Do you need the exact lighting brand or model?
Yes. Track, spacing, controller and cable requirements can vary between systems.
How do you plan around high rooflines?
Send exterior photos and height information so access can be considered before the visit.
Can cables be hidden inside walls or soffits?
Concealed routing may change the scope. Describe the desired route rather than assuming it is included.
