Dresser and Chest Assembly

Tell us the dresser or chest model and placement area. We review doorway access, hardware, final positioning and manufacturer anchoring needs before quoting.

Quote-ready details

  • Exact product or model when known
  • Final assembly / installation location
  • Access, mounting, base or utility conditions
  • Removal, damaged or missing parts when relevant

Dressers and chests can look simple in a product photo, yet the assembly usually depends on keeping panels, drawer hardware and fasteners organized from the first step. Tall furniture also raises a second issue: final placement and any anti-tip anchoring specified by the manufacturer. We plan both the build and the room before the piece is treated as ready to assemble.

Keep drawer components matched

A dresser may contain several drawer boxes, runners, fronts and hardware sets that are easy to mix once packaging is discarded. Keep labels and hardware bags with the product until assembly is finished. If the unit was opened previously, mention whether any panels or fittings are missing.

The service follows the instructions for the exact model. It does not substitute a different fastener or force a damaged drawer component into place simply to complete the furniture.

Final placement and wall condition

Choose the wall or area where the dresser will remain. A completed chest can be heavy and awkward to move around beds or through tight doorways, so assembling it near the final position is often more practical.

When anti-tip hardware is required by the manufacturer, the wall surface needs to be considered. Anchoring is handled as a real part of the product setup when appropriate, not as a generic promise that applies identically to every dresser.

Multiple pieces in the same room

If the order includes two dressers, nightstands or other storage pieces, list each item and quantity. A full bedroom project should be quoted from the actual furniture list rather than one product name.

Related work can be separated through furniture assembly services. A new bed belongs under bed frame assembly, while taller shelving may fit bookcase and shelving assembly.

Removal and packaging are separate choices

Moving an old dresser, carrying it to another room or disposing of packaging adds work beyond assembling the new product. Include those requests before scheduling so the estimate does not assume an empty room and no cleanup requirement.

Request a dresser or chest assembly quote with the model, quantity, room, access notes and any anchoring or old-furniture handling you want included.

Dresser and Chest Assembly FAQ

Do you assemble tall chests as well as standard dressers?

Yes, subject to the exact model and its instructions. Tall units are especially important to review for placement and manufacturer anchoring requirements.

Can several bedroom pieces be included together?

Yes. List each product and quantity so the quote reflects the complete set rather than only the largest item.

What if drawer hardware is missing?

Let us know before the appointment when possible. Missing runners, brackets or fasteners can prevent drawers from being completed correctly.

Is anti-tip anchoring automatic?

It is included only when it applies to the model and wall condition in the agreed scope. The mounting surface still has to be suitable.

Do you remove an old dresser?

That can be requested separately. Describe whether it needs to be moved within the property or handled in another way.
